busy, busy, busy with new job, now finding my feet had hardly anytime to craft have been working 90 hour weeks and loving it but made some new friends, some special..................anyway been gardening at work trying to make a roof garden, pics later maybe.

Its been a while since i visited my blog  but have been clocking up about 90 hours a week at work which leaves little time for anything else, so projects on the board at the moment, Babies (still) every bloody time i go to hand over all the baby plaques and stuff, there is another, i think last time i blogged there were two (harrison and ethan) since then zinedine, safiyah, chloe-rose and now we have just had another little boy, yet to be named...........roof top garden is still in the planning stage although i have been doing deliveries at work so been getting around enough to nick ideas from all the proper gardeners, the wall on the side of Edgware road station, amazing "vertical" garden, check it out, i am gonna try ? tryin to think of large items to use as flower pots that have no weight to them because i am not sure how much weight the roof will hold, it is quite a large area so it will take a fair bit to fill it, so thinking "large" otherwisw anything else will be dwarfed. also having to make decorations for the AGM, someone, who has remained unknown to me, has decided to make it a "rodeo" theme ????????? OMG who is going to be the one that tells the 200 men that work at our place, that YOU decided "line dancing" would be a good idea !!!!!! yeah right................then there is a new job that i have been asked to apply for, sounds like a good job but 4am start ? will try and get some pics up, when i can find the lead (put it somewhere safe, again

Weekend of craft

Just been told another of my friends is pregnant, so the "diaper cakes" which are my latest project may be the start of a whole new business adventure rather than just presents, all the more reason for me to get them done and get their pics on here. Started off as a small gift for 2 managers having babies in the same week, then before i knew it we had 2 more babies, so 4 VERY quickly, so it is like a conveyor belt in my front room of booties, bibs and baby nappies ect so to retire to my bedroom for a rest from all things babies only to start "wedding save the date" cards, my life is just  "a craft,  a room"    , and i love it.....................

Our friend Mel was leaving Waitrose today to go and be an "easyjet Air Hostess", go drinks at the Orchard after work, made her an appropriate board, which she loved, pics tomorrow GOOD LUCK MEL X

I have never been so happy to "turn up to the opening of an envelope", thanks Andy. Nerve racking being in front of sooooo many people and cameras but another experience i can cross off my list,         tick.  14% - bring it on

7th March is always a special day if you are a john lewis partner, of course its bonus day, and it is a real big deal that the envalope with the bonus number is delivered by securicor to each and every store and it is put in the safe and at 9.30am every branch opens the envelope at the same time, so it is huge........... imagine my surprise when after 21 years of service our manager asked me to open the envelope, OMG apparently i project the company in a positive way everyday i have brought the departments together more than anyone else in the store and my work ethic would make "Spedan proud", i apparently encapuslate the partnership way impecibly

SERIOUS talk time, mummy to daughter, AGAIN..................................3 years outta college, 10 hours work a week for the last 4 years at Waitrose and nothing else, I DO understand that there are just no jobs out there and it must be frustrating for these kids, we were lucky enough to grow up in a time where we could pick and choose what we wanted to do, so anyway talking about size 5's up bums and eventually got to "what is going to motivate you to want to get up in the morning" so after a long cuddle and lots of "i love you's", i did what i always do, i frogmarched Elizabeth to the nearest bookshop in harrow and we started to look for inspiration, so.....................................after about 1/2 an hour we found it, the first spark of interest in anything other than laying around watching crap telly and drinking at the local bar on £ a pint night, a book about making jewellery, and typically for us, not just jewelry but funky Gothic jewellery.....................so watch this space, because she has been hard at it for three days now and is loving it, its like watching her wake up with a smile on her face...........we went to the theatre tonight, and on the train on the way there and on the way back it was like "an audience with Elizabeth-Lia Luckhurst" EVERYONE, without exception with-in eye shot of her was watching her make her jewelry..................WELCOME BACK BABY GIRL, so in the near future i may employ my first co-contributor to JACRICKCRAFT..........WATCH THIS SPACE.........big THANKS to the "inspiration god" you did good X

so valentines outta the way and have had a request from an old work colleague to make an "up" house for her son's birthday, which obviously  i said " yes, of course i can do that for you, like my second name is "Barrett", had no idea ( and i should have done) that it was literally gonna get bigger and bigger, started of that it was going to come out of a shoebox, actually finish the size of 3 shoe boxes stuck together and perhaps that would have been easier, why didn't i think of that before i sat up for 18 hours straight, but anyway handed it over and Sam seemed very pleased with it, hoping to get a pic of it with the balloons attached to put with this blog sometime soon.
And back to making "baby" stuff for work, with 2 babies expected...................so exciting. then i suppose next project is either Easter or mothers day, not sure yet have to take a peek at a calender. bowling last night, had to pick the heavier balls, so that gravity helps get the ball up the alley ( and unfortunately that is not a euphemism) knees killing me, god those balls were heavy (haven't said that in a while)

sorry guys, its been a few weeks since i blogged, the whole point of having a blog was to show my crafts and the irony is i have not blogged because i have been to busy crafting ...................typical, so catch up is, since i last wrote we have had valentines day for which i made a ".com post box" (which resembled a dwarf frenchman with a slanted berea) for ALL those valentine cards at work, i decorated with "food related" hearts on the walls, such as "I LOVE YOU A LATTE" - "OLIVE YOU" - "YOU BUTTER ME UP" - "WOULD YOU LIKE A PIZZA ME" -  the ceiling was decorated with newspaper and magazine hearts, hung like bunting which looked amazing and would look even better if i could get them to stay up (stuff just does not want to stick to these walls, pics to follow.
